A mobile phone is an electronic device used for communication through a wireless network. A mobile phone is completely different from a cordless phone that has limited service area. The civilization of the mobile phone have taken place very rapid and effectively. Mobile phones allow users to receive and call other users having a cellular device. Communication through telephones takes place through a network operator.To day mobile phones with good configuration are affordable by a common man.

Being a telephone, modern mobile phones also support many additional features, such as SMS messages, camera, MM messaging, MP3 player, email, Internet access, gaming, Bluetooth, infrared radio and GPS.

Mobile Phone History

Martin Cooper was the first person to demonstrate the first mobile of Motorola (2kg weigh handset) in 1973. Around 1990 near about 13 million people worldwide were cellular service subscribers. And today near about every one is having a mobile phone in his pocket. Mobile is no long a luxury but a necessity. Radiophone technology came to use during the time of the Second World War. Then came the hand-held mobile radio in early 1973.

In Mobile system A (MTA) was launched at Sweden. MTA phones were of relays and vacuum tubes and had a weight of 40 kg. Then came Mobile system 2 (MTB) in 1962. This phone had a push-button telephone, and which used transistors in order to enhance the telephone’s calling capacity and improve its operational reliability.

The predecessors of modern Nokia are the Nokia Company, Finnish Rubber Works Ltd and Finnish Cable Works Ltd.

Nokia's history began in 1865 by the establishment of groundwood pulp mill on the banks of the Tammerkoski rapids in the town of Tampere by a mining engineer Fredrik Idestam in southwestern Finland to manufacture paper. Then he built second mill near the town of Nokia which had better resources for hydropower production. Then in 1871 Idestam renamed and transformed his company to a share company that was the foundation of Nokia Pvt Ltd.

2) BlackBerry

Blackberry, the brand recognized for QWERTY phones. In 1999 the Blackberry first device was introduced. In 2002 the Blackberry smart phone came to the market. It had features like push emails, mobile telephone, SMS and web browsing.

Blackberry established in the market by focusing on the email service. Currently RIM offers email services for Blackberry devices. Most of the Blackberry models have QWERTY keypads. Modern GSM-based Blackberry handheld incorporates an ARM 7 or 9 processor, while older Blackberry 950 and 957 handheld used Intel 80386 processors.

Currently RIM provides multitasking operating system for the Blackberry mobile by the virtue of which professional works can be done on a cellular device rather than computer.
